Blackberry Mercury BBB1000 is said to be coming to Verizon Wireless by 2017. It is also believed that Blackberry is going to unveil it along with other smartphones at CES 2017. No pecsofficial announcement has been made to confirm reports.

BlackBerry Mercury Specs

Nothing has been confirmed about the features and specifications of Blackberry but it is believed that is going to be a mid-range android smartphone. It should feature a 4.5 inch screen and of course, BlackBerry's signature QWERTY keyboard. The device will have 1920 x 1080 resolution, which is pretty good for a mid-range smartphone. Reports are also suggesting that BlackBerry Mercury BBB100 is going to run on Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor. It will also feature its own fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner is conveniently located and integrated within the phone's spacebar.

Blackberry Mercury BBB100 boasts 3GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage space and according to PhoneArena, this phone is also going to have a 3400 mAH battery. There had been reports that the battery is enough to power the device for two straight days. No confirmation has been given about the features and specs of BlackBerry Mercury.

BlackBerry Going Towards Verizon

A twitter from Roland Quandt revealed a tip that BlackBerry Mercury BBB100 is apparently coming to United States through Verizon Wireless. Quandt also stresses that although BBB100 is design by Blackberry, it is actually built by TCL.

The release date for BlackBerry Mercury BBB100 is yet to be announced. The description and concept-photo of the device is intriguing, especially now that BlackBerry chose to us Android over their own operating system software. If the company's new smartphones will deliver beyond what is expected and is able to compete with the likes of Samsung, LG, and even Apple, BlackBerry might even regain their previous status in the mobile industry.
