The year 2017 is just around the corner and as students, you are also a step closer to your goals. For some, the realization of their dreams will still come years from now but it does not mean you have to wait before you develop these leadership skills shared by some of the top young CEOs in various industries.

Linden Tibetts: Have a clear vision

Linden Tibbetts is the CEO of IFTTT, a mobile app that automates everything you have that is connected to the Internet. Tibetts shares that having a clear vision is important if you want to take a huge step forward. It makes sense since you cannot move if you don't know where you're headed. However, Tibetts does not stop in having a clearer vision but he added that you need to effectively articulate your vision if you want to inspire people to go with you on your journey.

Jennifer Fitzgerald: Adaptability is the key for growth

Jennifer Fitzgerald is the CEO of PolicyGenius, a startup online insurance marketplace. She said that in order to succeed, a person needs to be adaptable. The new year brings new challenges and opportunities, if you don't know how to adapt, you will lose a lot.

Scott Harrison: Do Less, But Do It Better

Scott Harrison, founder and CEO of the nonprofit Charity:Water, said that a lot of people fall into the trap of doing a lot of things at the same time leaving them no room to meditate or focus deeply. He said that if you really want to do something with excellent results, then do less. He also added that we should take time to take away ourselves from screens and devices, and think more about the future.

Aria Finger: Make the RIGHT Decisions

Aria Finger is the CEO of the nonprofit Do Something which focuses on making a positive impact in the society through meaningful campaigns. Finger emphasized that most of the time, these right decisions are not the popular ones. Nevertheless, you should always make it a goal to make the right decision even if a lot of people may not like it.
