The Android Nougat fifth beta update is now rolling out to Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users who signed up in the Galaxy Beta program in the UK and South Korea. While there aren't any new added features, the Android Nougat beta update has several stability improvements, and fixes the intermittent reboot issue.

The fifth Nougat beta update comes in at 301MB, and Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users will be able to download it by heading into their smartphone's settings. The update also increases the lock screen notifications transparency, according to Sam Mobile.

At this point, the South Korean tech giant will be looking to further refine the Nougat build before it gets a public rollout. The timeline is still unclear as to when that'll happen, but Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners should be hearing more from Samsung sometime in Jan. 2017.

Nevertheless, in Australia, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users are expected to receive the old Android 7.0 Nougat update. The information was confirmed by the Australia's Vodafone representative. In the Vodafone's community forum, they've confirmed the references to Samsung skipping Android 7.0 Nougat refer to other markets and not to Australia.

Samsung has already established that the updates for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge should be based on Android 7.1.1, which has major fixes and improvements to issues that weren't found in Android 7.0. But, it wasn't mentioned why the Samsung flagship smartphones in Australia won't get the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, Android Central reported.

If reports are anything to go by, Samsung will roll out different versions of the Android Nougat update into different models of its S7 and S7 Edge in different regions of the world. Some smartphones will receive the newest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, while some users will acquire the older update, Android 7.0 Nougat.
