Red Mi Note 4 is coming to India but a different variant from the one released in the mainland China. This time, the Indian Red Mi Note 4 variant will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor instead of MediaTek Helio X20-powered Xiaomi RedMi Note 4 released in the Chinese market. Full spec description will be discussed in the latter part of this article.

"Mi Explorers Challenge"

The Chinese company now tweets an open invitation to fans to join the "Mi Explorer Challenge." Winners of the said contest stand a chance to experience the exclusive modified variant of RedMi Note 4 before its official Indian launch. But tech observers speculate that the launch will happen on January 4th next year, BGR reported.

RedMi Note 4 Specs

Apart from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, RedMi Note 4 modified variant also includes a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. According to My Smart Price, The processor will be accompanied by 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The top tier variant will have 3GB RAM and 32GB storage in addition to a third variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

RedMi Note 4 will sport a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. (N.B. insiders suggest that the 13-megapixel camera used in the RedMi Note 4 is said to offer relatively better image and video quality with RedMi Note 3's 16-megapixel primary camera. The Mi Fan Challenge could also prove the camera capacity through photography and videography challenges.

RedMi Note 4 also features a fingerprint sensor, a dual-SIM card slot (via hybrid tray) with 4G LTE and VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac/a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS,  IR, microUSB v2.0 port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a massive 4,100mAh battery.

RedMi Note 4 Prices

If pricing will be based on China, RedMi Note 4 base variant 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage might sell at Rs9,000 ($130) while the 3GB variant with 64GB of onboard storage might be sold for Rs12,000 (roughly $175). The third variant with 4GB of RAM might display a Rs15,000 price tag ($220).
