The CyanegonMod team brings in Android 7.1 Nougat Nightlies for the OnePlus X. Last week, the CM 14.1 Android 7.1 Nougat Update has been available for ten new phones besides the One Plus x.

CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies new nightly builds list for phones and tablets

The CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies now brings Android 7.1 Nougat for various mobile devices including the Samsung Galaxy S III, Sprint modek, the Motorola Moto E 2015, Motorola Moto E original, the Motorola Moto G4, the Motorola Moto G4 Plus, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, third generation, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8, 9, and third generation, the Xiaomi Mi5, the Xiaomi Redmi 2, and the ARK Benefit A3, Android Police reported.

Those who are using any of these devices will need custom recovery to flash the CyanogenMod ROM. They also need extra stocks of "daily driver" software. The CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies also requires the latest Gapps flashable ZIP to access the Google services, especially the Play Store. 

CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies gives Nougat update for OnePlus X

With the new CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies for the OnePlus X, Snapdraon 801 and Vulkan API compatibility will be addressed, Android Authority reported. The nogenMod 14.1 nightlies is expected to be stable enough as daily driver for Nightly builds. The CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies is the best alternative to the OxygenOS that OnePlus has.

The CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies may not have some of the software featured in OnePlus, like the Shelf, but it offers a lot more new software that are very useful.

OnePlus X is one of the OnePlus devices that didn't get a Nougat update, and it is definitely a great thing that CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies brings that update to the device. The CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies will bring to the OnePlus X the same experience featured in the CM 14.1 ROM on other devices.

In another note, Cyanogen recently announced that it will stop supporting its CyanogenMod and that there will be no nightly builds coming out in 2017. But the code will still be available as open source to people who wants to use CM personally. Cyanogen, however, still hopes that the initiative will still continue to work for eight more years.
