There are a number of highly anticipated handsets set to rock the tech world in 2017, and the Samsung Galaxy S8 is one of those devices. If the new trademark registration found in EU paperwork turns out to be true, the Galaxy S8 could roll out with a beast mode feature.

It's been discovered that the South Korean tech giant has trademarked the term Beast Mode in the European Union. This has led tech critics to speculate that Samsung is planning to include that feature to the Galaxy S8.

The rumored Beast Mode feature comes in when the South Korean tech giant filed an application to the EU to trademark the term earlier in December. The trademark application details of Beast Mode will cover all of Samsung's devices such as smartphones, application software and all of the company's computers, Forbes reported.

Nonetheless, the beast mode for Samsung Galaxy 8 has no official explanation, rumor has it that the beast mode on the smartphone will allow the processor to perform to its maximum power. This would be somewhat an extension to the Performance Mode of the Android Nougat, where smartphone users are able to select from four presets of high performance, Android Headlines reported.

Although the South Korean tech company hasn't revealed the specs for the Galaxy S8, Samsung's upcoming flagship is said to be packed with Qualcomm's most powerful processor the Snapdragon 835 or Samsung's own next-gen Exynos processor. Those chipsets will be created by using the 10nm process, the same technology that Apple Inc. is reportedly using for the upcoming iPhone 8, according to Phone Arena.

Qualcomm is also believed to be collaborating with Samsung in developing the Snapdragon 835, possibly developing the Galaxy S8 the only handset capable of taking advantage of the chip's full potential.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to roll out in April 2017.
