HTC has been rumored to have a new smartphone that runs the fastest processor ever. The Taiwan-based handset maker is said to be working on a new mid-range smartphone that could be launched in January. The new device, which dubbed as HTC 11, will replace the company's flagship handset, the HTC 10.

According to Trusted Review, the HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone will bear specifications very similar to a mid-range smartphone. The rumored flagship smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU, along with Adreno 540 GPU for graphic performance, a 256GB of internal storage and a whopping 8GB of RAM.

According to the Chinese Weibo leaker, the new HTC 11 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD 1440x2560 display, an upgrade to the previous 5.2-inch HTC screen. The new device is expected to have a dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel each on the rear side, while the front-facing camera is said to have an 8-megapixel shooter. Another Weibo leaker also suggested that the phone might come with a curved display, this could be possible because the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has exactly the same look.

In terms of power generation, the latest leak suggests the phone will have a 3,700mAh of battery capacity.As with the mobile operating system, the HTC 11 is expected to come with the latest version of Android OS, the Android 7.0 Nougat along with the customized HTC Sense 8 UI.

No words on pricing details yet, however, according to the latest rumors, it's expected to be an expensive smartphone with a price tag that rivals the other flagship handsets in the market. As with the release date, the HTC 11 is expected to launch sometime in 2017.
