Tech fans appear to have an incredibly exciting 2017. Among other things, 2017 will be the year when the Nokia brand will re-enter the smartphone world. Following Nokia's phone business was sold by Microsoft to Foxconn back in May, the Chinese tech company opted to restore the Nokia brand via HMD Global.

While smartphone enthusiasts have already seen some leaks of the upcoming smartphones of Nokia, wherein all of the devices were related to either low-end or midrange devices. Nevertheless, a new leak from the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, seems to reveal the Nokia P, a Nokia flagship device expected to be released at some point in 2017. The microblogging site's post included two images of a Nokia P prototype, according to Android Headlines.

The Nokia P is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip, 6 GB of RAM, a 23 MP camera with a sensor by Carl Zeiss. The Nokia P was rumored to come along with a QHD display, a display that features a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, Android Guys has learned.

On the other hand, Nokia is said to unleash two Android smartphones in the first quarter of 2017. CEO of HMD Global, Arto Nummela, claimed that the upcoming Nokia Android smartphones will stay true to the signature design of Nokia. The smartphones will be premium quality with a design that tech fans will immediately recognize as Nokia, The Economic Times reported.

Once Nokia decides to release its two Android smartphones, the company is said to immediately go global and compete with other major smartphone manufacturers. The upcoming Nokia Android smartphones are said to carry a price tag from $150 to $200.

Nevertheless, Nokia has yet to pitch in the release date specifics of its upcoming Android smartphones. The tech company is expected to make an announcement early next year.
