Ever since the "Street Fighter V" was launched back in February, the fighting video game has been plagued with rage quitters. Rage-quitting is when a "Street Fighter V" player decides to withdraw from a match even when the fight isn't over. Now, Capcom has rolled out a penalty for rage-quitters.

Gamers who interrupt the game and leave an unfinished match in SFV will now be given by the video game company a profile badge and other restrictions. The profile of the rage-quitter will now have a skull badge and gamers who never rage-quits will have a shield badge on their profile, Game Spot reported.

This system will allow "Street Fighter V" players to easily identify those gamers who tend to leave during a match. As the new system sorts the honest players together, matchmaking will also be affected, and it will leave the rage-quitters to play against each other.

Capcom has also listed the other penalties. These new penalties in "Street Fighter V" include the reduction of League Points, as well as temporary restrictions in matchmaking.

In spite of that, no one knows if this new penalty system of SFV will be able to distinguish actual rage-quitters from players that are suffering from poor Internet connection. A skilled gamer may get cut off due to their Internet stability and could be branded as a rage-quitter, according to Cinema Blend.

The video game company has yet to address how the penalty system will handle this distinction, or if there will be a means for a "Street Fighter 5" gamer to prove their internet got disconnected. It is also uncertain at this point if Capcom is also planning further rewards or penalties for those players who don't and do rage-quit in the game. Nonetheless, Capcom has made no public announcement.
