"Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" fans have been waiting for the update on the upcoming season 2 but since the production is still busy with the "Attack on Titan 2," news and updates are scarce at the moment. Check details here.

While fans wait for the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress 2," the compilation of the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" will be shown in theaters in few days from now. It has been reported that the compilation film will be separated into two parts, the first part will be shown in Dec. 31 while the second part is slated for January 7, 2017. Both parts will run for two weeks each.

"Kabaneri of the Iron Fist" Compilation Film Plot

The compilation film series of the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" will take place in Hinomoto, an island country. Humans hide in the island and stay away from the threat of the zombie-like creatures with steel hearts called "Kabane," so they stay in the fortresses that are also called stations. The armored locomotives a.k.a "Hayajiro" are the only ones who can go from station to station.

Before the premier of the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" in Japan theaters, a special pre-screening is also set for the first part of the compilation film "Tsuduo Hikari" ("Gathering Light") on Dec. 22 at Shinjuku Picadilly in Tokyo. The voice actors including Tasuku Hatanaka (Ikoma), YÅ«ki Kaji (Takumi), Sayaka Senbongi (Mumei), Maaya Uchida (Ayame), Mamoru Biyano (Biba) and Toshiki Masuda (Kurusu) are set to appear after the screening.

Blu-ray Disc and DVD with English Sub for North America

Fans in the North America may also get a hold of the two-part compilation film of the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" with an English sub. Funimation will be the one to handle the distribution in the North America.
