Microsoft is good at hooking its consumers and tying them to try its new and improved devices as rumors are circulating lately that consumers are in high-strung to the rumored upgraded version of its ultimate laptop that is already in the pan early next year-the Surface Book 2. The device is the successor of Surface Book, which gathered overwhelming positive reviews since its release in October 2015.

Following the high-end Surface Book, which has a detachable screen, Surface Pen support, Intel Skylake dual-core processors and Windows 10 Professional, many are speculating that Surface Book 2 will surpass its predecessor specifically that there are a number of glitches in Surface Book that consumers are clamoring to improve and upgrade, Techradar has learned.

Infact, Techradar disclosed that there were some complaints users experienced while using the device including the "Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge" where a gap is observed while closing the laptop, a low battery life in the "Clipboard" tablet portion of the device as well as the product being so expensive.

Despite that, Surface Book is still one of the best hybrid laptops this year as ranked by Techradar, together with other devices like Lenovo Yoga 900, HP Spectre x360, Samsung Notebook 7 Spin, Asus ZenBook Flip UX360, HP Pavilion x2, Dell Inspiron 13 7000, HP Elite x2 1012 G1, Lenovo Yoga 900S and HP Spectre x360 15.

So, what makes Surface Book 2 tick?

As sequel to Microsoft's first laptop, release date of the device is rumored to be on the Spring of 2017. The laptop is to be powered by Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors and Microsoft is believed to have just waited Intel to start rolling out the i5 and i7 Kaby Lake chipsets to include them in the Surface Book 2, Tech Times revealed.

Reports are also pointing to Surface Book 2's capability to support virtual reality sytems, though there are still no official information yet from the company as to the veracity of the claim but as to the design, Microsoft hinted in its official Instagram account a new hinge system to the Surface Book 2. It revealed a hinge with fewer ridges compared with the current Surface Book.

It is also projected to have a better screen resolution. It was revealed that the current model sports a 13.5-inch display with a 3,000 x 2,000 (267 ppi) resolution that's backed by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU. It is speculated that this news model will have the same-sized screen but offer more conventional 4k resolution: 3,840 x 2, 160.

With an updated Microsoft laptop in the form of Surface Book 2 would surely bring another edge on the device and Apple's latest MacBook, in terms of battery life and screen resolution.

These specifications are truly something worth waiting for but for now it is a wait-and-see game for everyone. And if Microsoft will push through with release of the device next year, Surface Book ' might land again as one of the best laptops in 2017.
