Microsoft's Surface Pro is marketed as the tablet that can replace the laptop. Now there are rumors that its latest Surface Pro 5 will be released sometime next year. But further rumors state that it's about to get thrown out of the competition by a Finnish start-up company.

The new Surface Pro 5 is reported to have the latest Kaby Lake Core i7 from Intel, Forbes reported. The current Surface Pro 4 is already at the top of the list when it comes to PC specs with its 16GB RAM and 1TB worth of storage. The new Surface Pro is definitely going to match this spec or even surpass it, which means it is staying on top of the list.

Surface Pro 5 Competes Well Against iPad Pro When It Comes to Specs and Features

Surface Pro is already critically acclaimed, especially among the executive market. Now, the new Surface Pro 5 is reportedly going to have the new USB-C/Thunderbolt ports and the enhanced Surface Pen, which rechargeable.

With these specs, it is easy for Surface Pro to compete with the iPad Pro in the notebook replacement market. The iPad Pro appeals more for to professionals who are in the creative industry, while the Surface Pro is more popular among top executives.

 Eve Tech Enters Arena; Beating Surface Pro 5 at its Own Game

iPad Pro, however, is not the only tough competitor in the notebook replacement market. Finnish startup company Eve Tech is planning to create its own notebook replacement product called the Eve V, Slash Gear reported.

This new product was developed with consumers during the production process. This means potential buyers helped create Eve V, which gives Eve Tech an edge against the rest of the products in the market.

Eve V can easily defeat Surface Pro 5 in its own game. Eve V has Intel seventh generation Core m3, i5, or i7 processors. It has a 8 or 16 GD LPDDR3 Ram and 128 to 512 GB SSD worth of storage. These are some of the basic specs, the rest of its specification will easily attract buyers' attention.
