Chandler Riggs clarified that he will go to college at the same time will remain as Carl Grimes in "The Walking Dead" series.

Rumors spread that the 17- year old "The Walking Dead" star will be leaving the show in preparation for college. However, The Hollywood Reporter claims that the actor said in an interview that he wanted to be a normal kid as much as possible. The actor contemplates on the idea of taking a few classes in college so that he doesn't have to leave the show.

In fact, Riggs said that it would be news for him if his character will be written out from the show. However, the actor remained mum when asked whether he is renewed for the next season or not.

While Riggs is yet to confirm about his casting in "The Walking Dead" Season 8, Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan's role already confirmed that he will be back for the next season. Screen Rant and other critics suggest that it would be refreshing to see him wane in the next season as he has already been dubbed as the most fearsome villain in television. Many expect a dramatic change in his attitude in "The Walking Dead" Season 8.

The actor also shared that the next season will be bigger and more intense. With this, Comic Book also reported that "The Walking Dead" Season 8 synopsis seems nothing short of proving Morgan's statement.

Inquisitr, on the other hand, reported that "The Walking Dead" Season 8 will feature flashbacks about Negan, which will reveal his story and the reason behind his murderous nature.

Aside from Negan, Lucille will also be highlighted as she will be given her own flashback moment as well in "The Walking Dead" Season 8.

Next week, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will have its mid-season finale.
