The sequel to the 1995 classic, "Jumanji", has added Tim Matheson to its all-star cast. Matheson will play the role of Old Man Vreeke in the Jake Kasdan-directed movie.

Matheson, according to Deadline, was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for his portrayal of former United States of America president Ronald Reagan in National Geographic's "Killing Reagan." He also earned two Emmy nominations for his role as Vice President John Hoynes on "The West Wing." He is no stranger in TV movies as he played the role of Senator Webster in "Body Politic", James White in "To Love and Die" and Soloman in "The Prince."

He is currently a busy man as he just wrapped a role in the Netflix move "6 Balloons" and directed a future episode of NBC's midseason series, "Taken." He is used to playing serious roles so he may have to adjust in playing a comedic one in "Jumanji" but that depends entirely on how Jake Kasdan wants him to portray his character.

According to Comic Book, the film's star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shared some thoughts on "Jumanji" by saying, "Been shooting #Jumanji for months now and I have been waiting patiently for this night. In the original movie, the world of #Jumanji came to us. 20 years later, the continuation of our story sees us go to the amazing and deadly world of #Jumanji. For months, we shot everything including all the jungle action and comedy."

"Jumanji" stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Kevin Hard as Moose Finbar, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon, Nick Jonas, ser Darius Blain as Anthony "Fridge" Johnson, Madison Iseman, Rhys Darby and Morgan Turner. The movie is written by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It is scheduled to hit theatres on July 28, 2017.
