The season finale of "Westworld" may have answered almost all questions from the previous episodes and tied most of the loose ends, but somehow, it has left three questions unanswered. With all the revelations in the season finale, audiences still can't decipher how season 2 will be like. Jonathan Nolan hinted that it will be a totally different genre, like what he and his brother Christopher Nolan subtly did with the "Dark Knight" movie franchise.

Unanswered Questions

Spoiler Alert! The "Westworld" season finale last Sunday still didn't answer whether Elsie Hughes and Ashley Stubbs are still alive, whether Logan is still alive, and where exactly Maeve's daughter is, Polygon reported.

Hints on Season 2

Meanwhile, director Jonathan Nolan said the first season of "Westworld" is just a prologue and that the TV show has an anything-goes feel to it, which means it could be a totally different genre in the next season, Deadline reported.

The entire show has a lot of plot twists ever since the first episodes that had fans speculating the whole time on theories and possibilities. Almost all of the major theories were answered during the finale. Some of the theories were answered even before the finale.

In episode eight, it was revealed that Bernard is in fact a host. Season nine proved that Bernard is actually a version of Arnold. And that notion was expanded in the tenth episode.

The finale also revealed that Dolores is actually Wyatt. Another theory that was proven to be true is that William is in fact the man in black. Maeve, who seems to have everything going her way, is shown to be starting the host revolution.

Finally, one of the biggest fan theories that was proven is that the show has multiple timelines.

Now, audiences will just have to wait for 2018 for season two of "Westworld."
