While Android Nougat is set to roll out on devices such Huawei P9, P9 Plus, Mate 8 and P9 Lite in early January or March, there are other devices who will not get the said update, leading its users to file Android N update petition.

It is said that Samsung's Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 users filed a petition last week to bring Android Nougat update to their devices. Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 users even voiced out their frustrations over some forums, saying that they aren't expecting the Android Nougat 7 will roll out to their devices this year but hoping that it should land J5 and J7 at least second quarter of 2017.

While some Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 users petitioned and addressed their concern to Samsung, some pushed the petition addressing Qualcomm. According to Mobipicker, since there was a claim that all devices equipped with Snapdragon 801 and below (which both Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 sports), users are now demanding that Qualcomm should update the processors' drivers to the latest version in order for them to get Android 7 OS.

Although the petition has already made, Samsung remained mum about Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 getting Android Nougat update. Instead, the South Korean tech giant released an Android Nougat beta program for its newer flagship models such as Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. With this, some Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 users are now beginning to think that they will never experience the features of Google's new version of Android OS and will have to stick to whatever OS version they currently have.

To add to user's frustration, Neurogadget reported that Qualcomm isn't willing to update 410's (along with many others) graphics drivers, which means Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 users will unlikely get and experience all the amazing features of Android Nougat (Android 7) on their devices.

Meanwhile, although Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will unlikely get Nougat update, Motorola's Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto 64 Play will be receiving Android 7 update via OTA later part of the year.
