"Injustice: Gods Among Us" and "Haunted House" has been added to the Backwards Compatibility library of the Xbox One. Major Nelson talks about the difficulties of making an Xbox 360 game Backward Compatible.

Backwards Compatibility library gets two new games

According to the official blog of Major Nelson, the Backwards Compatibility library will get two new Xbox 360 games, which are "Injustice: Gods Among Us" and "Haunted House." Players who already own the video game can just download for the Xbox One compatible versions in their Xbox One library.

For Xbox One owners who do not have the games in their library, they can still buy and download the games directly from the Xbox Store. "Haunted House" will cost only $5 and will take 282.5 MB of space.

For "Injustice: Gods Among Us," it has a price tag of $20 and will take up 7.8GB of space. Players will have to take note that the Ultimate Edition of the game is disc-only, but it is still backwards compatible.

Games added to the Backwards Compatibility library this week

Aside from the two games added recently, there were other ones added earlier this week. The Backwards Compatibility library got "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," "Medal of Honor: Airborne," and "Trine 2." The library now consists of almost 300 Xbox 360 games that are Backwards Compatible for the Xbox One.

Backwards Compatible fans excited

According to the official website of Reddit, several fans have expressed their excitement for the announcement. Some have been waiting for these video games to be added to the Backwards Compatibility library and now they are waiting for more games to be added. A member revealed that NetherRealm Studios game director Ed Boon teased that "Mortal Kombat 9" might be coming too.

Difficulties in making Backwards Compatible games

Major Nelson recently discussed the challenging processes of making an Xbox 360 backwards compatible with the Xbox One. Each of these games needed to be tested a lot of times from beginning to the end in order to get it okay for distribution. Some video games were not compatible at first, which is why they needed to make adjustments before they released it.
