Nintendo Switch, the upcoming hybrid video game console, will make its first official appearance in Tokyo, Japan on Jan. 12, 2017, wherein the event will also be live-streamed for every game enthusiast to watch. Nintendo also announced that they will follow that up with a special private hands-on event the following day.

Members of the press will be given hands-on access on Jan. 13, 2017 to the Nintendo Switch for the very first time in New York City. The event will transpire just hours after the live stream presentation, and will last for five hours. Invitations have already been given out to members of the press.

In spite of that, it appears as though the same hands-on invitation will be extended to Europe as well, as press outlets are also now receiving invitations for an event in Paris, Dual Shockers reported.

The only thing that the Japanese tech company hasn't confirmed about the follow-up event is where exactly in New York it will take place. Nevertheless, the tech giant did claim that the private press event for Nintendo Switch in NYC will further emphasize some of the details of the gaming system, according to IGN.

Nonetheless, the live stream presentation on Jan. 12, which the Japanese tech giant dubbed as the Tokyo webcast, will finally announce the price, launch titles, as well as the exact release date for the gaming system. Such details have been kept tightly under wraps since Nintendo first released the teaser trailer for Nintendo Switch back in October, MCV has learned.

That being said, details on the Nintendo Switch are scarce, with some of the rumors are being left unconfirmed by Nintendo. The latest feature of Nintendo Switch that's rumored to come with the gaming system is the motion control, a feature that's already on the Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo Switch is slated to hit the market on March 2017.
