With the end of "Civil War" showing Steve Rogers as a fugitive after breaking his friends out of prison, fans can expect major "Captain America" changes. 

Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes a.k.a The Winter Soldier, in his official Instagram account a picture of him holding what seems to be Captain America's shield, Cinema Blend reported.

However, instead of a star and the white and blue stripes, his shield is purely metallic with a red star in the middle. The image was captioned with a thank you to Casey McBroom, with Sebastian saying that the shield could come in handy.

McBroom isn't a designer of Marvel movie props, but is simply a producer of Cap's shield for cosplayers. However, Sebastian's caption saying it would  come in handy, definitely means something.

Will New Design Bring Changes to "Captain America?"

Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of "Captain America" confirmed back in August that the last scene in "Civil War" where Cap dropped his shield is a symbol that he is signing off and is letting go of that identity, Morning News USA reported.

One deleted scene also reveals that the Winter Soldier could take up the role of Captain America. And Sebastian's Instagram post with a shield made by McBroom is one big hint for fans that could confirm that rumor. There was also a scene in "Captain America: Civil War" where Bucky picked up Steve's shield, which might symbolize that he will soon take up the mantle of Cap, or shield in that matter.

How Story Line Would Change for "Captain America"

The last scene in the latest "Captain America" instalment shows Bucky Barns in what seems to be a cryosleep in Wakanda. Also, it would be difficult for him to join Avengers, especially after Tony Stark learned that the Winter Soldier killed his parents.

However, there are reports that the Winter Soldier and even Captain America will still appear in the new "Avengers: Infinity War."
