After being released for two months, a critic has thrown out a review of the Apple Watch Series 2. While many are claiming that the latest iteration to the smartwatch looks almost exactly like the first Apple Watch, one critic claimed that Apple's second generation smartwatch is perceptibly heavier.

The Apple Watch weighs about 25 grams, whereas the Apple Watch Series 2 is available with 28.2 grams. The 42 mm stainless steel variant of the Apple Watch weighs 50 grams while the same version of the Apple Watch Series 2 rolls out with 52.4 grams, according to Wired.

The Apple Watch Series 2 is also clearly thicker compared to its predecessor. The original Apple Watch has a depth of 10.5 mm, while Apple's second generation smartwatch has a thickness of 11.4 mm. A new ceramic model of the Apple Watch Series 2 is even thicker by 0.4 mm.

Overall, the critic claimed that the Apple Watch Series 2 is arguably bigger when compared to the first iteration of the Apple Watch which was launched in March 2016.

In related news, there are Apple devices expected to be released in 2017, and one of which is the much awaited Apple Watch 3. The Apple Watch 3 is slated to arrive in September 2017, and the Series 3 will have a starting price of £369 0r $461 for the 38mm and £399 or $499 for the 42mm, Mac World reported.

Rumor has it that Apple's upcoming Apple Watch 3 will come out together with iPhone 8. Nevertheless, there were also rumors suggesting that Apple Watch 3 might be launched in April 2018, considering the Apple Watch was originally released in that month.

In spite of that, the Apple Watch 3 is said to keep hold of famous features like the Global Positioning System (GPS), water resistance and dual-core processor. The Apple Watch 3 is slated to come along with a standalone apps and a SIM card.
