Creator Pete Nowalk recently revealed that the next episode, which will be shown on January 16, 2017, will consist of flashbacks that will eventually reveal who murdered Wes. 

The last episode of "How to get Away with Murder" saw one of the main characters, Wes (Alfred Enoch), getting killed in the fire. However, Nate (Billy Brown) also revealved that Wes died before the fire. 

The obvious suspects according to MStars News are Frank (Charlie Weber) after he found out that Wes and his now ex-girlfriend Laurel (Karla Souza) are already a couple when he returned from a hiatus and Charles Mahoney (Wilson Bethel) who was framed for the murder of his father Wallace Mahoney (Adam Arkin). However, "How to get Away with Murder" has shown us in its 2 and a half seasons, it is one unpredictable series. Season 3 started with a fire in Professor Keating's house and teased a major character died in the fire.

"How to get Away with Murder" has become popular with its fans according to Aussie Network News through its style of showing something big that happened and the flashbacks that showed revealing how it happened. This happened first back in Season 1 when Lila Stangard (Megan West) was killed and it was not revealed until the last episode the identity of the murderer. In a stunning development, Rebecca Sutter (Kati Findlay) also got killed in the last episode of Season 1 and it was revealed right away in the first episode that it was Bonnie (Liza Weil) who murdered her.

"How to get Away with Murder" follows the story of Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) as she leads her students into a training that became more than what they bargained for. She chose five of her brightest students to help her with her cases: Wes, Laurel, Asher (Matt McGorry), Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Connor (Jack Falahee).
