"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is only few days away before its premiere and there have been rumors that "Star Wars" will bring Grand Moff Tarkin -- a classic villain of the franchise -- back. The most recent "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" teaser has confirmed that Tarkin is indeed resurrected.

 "Star Wars" fans who have seen the most recent teaser were surely brought back down to memory lane after seeing Tarkin. "Star Wars" took advantage of the digital technology advancements by using CGI to resurrect Tarkin in the "Rogue One" series.

The use of CGI has become a popular technique in movie production to finish the performances of actors who died during the production of the film. Examples of CGI usage include Paul Walker in the "Fast and Furious" and Philip Seymour Hoffman of the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay," The Telegraph reported.

However, the unusual re-creation of the whole scene of an actor using the CGI technology is an entirely different story.

In the teaser which is titled "Breath," Tarkin was seen watching his dear Death Star being assembled.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the appearance of Tarkin in the teaser had helped the ticket sale to shoot up as it start its sale on midnight of Nov. 28. The character's face was not seen in the teaser but "Star Wars" avid fans would surely notice who the character is with just the look of the ears, hair and of course, the costume.

The fictional character Grand Moff Tarkin also known as Governor Tarkin is one of the most dreadful "Star Wars" villains played by Peter Cushing. The character first came out in the original "Star Wars" in 1977. When Cushing died in 1994, younger versions of Tarkin was brought back by "Star Wars" in a cameo appearance.

The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will open in the entire North America on Dec. 16.
