A leak from the GameStop's marketing plans revealed that "Injustice 2" will be out in the first quarter of 2017.

NetherRealm Studios seems to have been in serious work in promoting the game ever since the second installment of the title was confirmed. Previously, the game developer made a gameplay teaser which lasted approximately 15 minutes that meant to excite gamers who patiently wait for the game.

Nonetheless, no exact release date has yet been confirmed., but it seems that NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment really plans on surprising gamers by keeping them in the dark for the mean time.

Along with "Injustice 2," the released report on GameStop's plans for Q1 2017 section includes "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

While waiting for the target release date, WCCF Tech reported that gamers can expect new features in "Injustice 2," which cannot be found in the first game such as the loot system that will primarily level up the fighting mode in the game.

Warner Bros. Interactive also reported that "Injustice 2" will offer the biggest roster of characters that can be found in any fighting game. The game will also have a number of new and returning characters which will be available as a downloadable content. The new characters include Atrocitus, Batman, Aquaman, Deadshot, Flash, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, etc.

Rumor also has it that Disney Channel's supervillain Ra's al Ghul will be included in "Injustice 2." They promised that Ra's al Ghul will be a lot different from his usual characters as he will become Batman's ally against Superman.

Following "Injustice 2's" release in PlayStation and Xbox One, a mobile version will also be developed for Android devices. Warner Bros. also hinted that the game might be available on Nintendo Switch.
