Moto M and LG G5 were introduced earlier this year, but before deciding to buy, check out the full comparison of both supreme smartphones.

Moto M vs LG G5: Design and build

Moto M has an excellent build with P2i hydrophobic coating. Its 5.5-inch screen packs Super AMOLED display and 401 ppi pixel density, while LG G5 comes with smaller size of 5.3-inch screen. LG G5 packs IPS LCD screen (protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4) with impressively 554 ppi pixel density, as listed in GSM Arena.

Moto M has metal unibody and it's splash resistant, but the phone is quite heavy as it weighs 163 grams. LG G5, on the other hand, feels more premium as it is light and comfortable to hold.

Moto M vs LG G5: Specs and performance

Both flagships run Android Marshmallow which can be upgraded to Android Nougat; however, Moto M offers nearly pure Android experience while LG G5 has its own developed-software offering different skin.

Under the hood, LG G5 is an excellent performer with Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Moto M, on the other hand, is powered by a little outdated Snapdragon 617 and comes with two different models: 32GB ROM with 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM with 4GB RAM, Engadget reported.

As far as the optics department is concerned, the modular phone LG G5 packs dual rear-camera, 16 MP and 8 MP, that features LED Flash, OIS (3-axis) and laser autofocus. The front shooter gets 8 MP camera and overall, LG G5 optic offers better quality with its wide-angle camera and the software featured in hardware. Not to mention, the Cam Plus mod would be an added value for photography enthusiasts.

For avid music listeners, Moto M packs Dolby Atmos system for audio enhancement but G5's Hi-Fi module perfectly fits the device to deliver incredible audio experience.

Moto M rocks 3,050 mAh battery - a huge capacity compared to G5 with only 2,800 mAh.

Overall, the smartphones battle is won by LG G5 as the device excels in many departments compared to Moto M.
