The 15-time WWE World Champion John Cena is more valuable than most people think after news of viewership steeply dropped by 35.6 percent after being absent from main shows and events of the company.

Cena's impact to the business was felt during the month of October and was highlighted by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.  In the Newsletter, it shows that the average of 5,167 house shows and the Raw taping of 10,125 in October, this month resulted in 3,326 house shows and an 8,000 Raw tapings, a significant hit in the ratings noting that in these shows, Cena wasn't around nor advertised, according to a  Forbes report.

The downward trend in vierwership only proves how John Cena has embedded himself in the world of sports and entertainment. Despite many criticisms, Cena has proven his critics wrong through hard work, which paid off after he earned the top spot in WWE. IGN even considered him among the top 50 wrestlers of all time.

However, after a long period of being at the top, it seems like John Cena is now slowing down. He's been recently incurring prolonged absences from the ring in exchange of outside commitments. Is the pressure taken its toll to the WWE's top guy?  

He had shown his love for the wrestling business and industry by standing back up after each fall. Surgeries after surgeries, he has proven that he deserves whatever he has right now. He might have lost the title to AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose, he has shown his resilience.

John Cena even became the apple of the eye of his fans across the globe and is now the future WWE Hall of Famer and since 2005, John Cena was described by IGN as a franchise player of WWE and in 2015 he's been credited as the "Face of WWE."
