From our earlier "Nintendo Switch" reports, we mentioned the Joy-con controllers used to control games the traditional way. But earlier reports by GameStop said that the upcoming Nintendo Switch could be a game changer and may have some kind of motion controls inside.

According to IGN, Gamestop's CEO Paul Raines has accidentally mentioned the existence of motion controllers for the "Nintendo Switch." The leak happened during the company's investor's meeting while speaking to investors about its quarterly financials.

In that event, Raines hinted that the device's Joy-Con controllers can function as motion controllers, and also, will allow developers to do a lot of things with the console's gameplay.

Based on the recent statement made by Raines, there are 2 possibilities for the implementation of the Switch's motion controllers. The first one is that the existing Joy-Con controllers will be motion sensitive. However, this is an unlikely scenario due to the size of the device. But if Nintendo managed to pull this off, it could be another breakthrough for the company.

The second one is if the user decided to take off the Joy-Con controllers and replace it with another set of controllers. This is where the motion sensitive tech comes in and starts working.

Additionally, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima also made a statement, suggesting that there are still unannounced peripherals for the upcoming game console. Many have speculated that this could be the rumored motion sensitive controllers.

Motion controls are something that Nintendo has been pioneered and been doing since the release of the original Nintendo Wii. Even the Wii U Gamepad has its own built-in gyroscope that could function as motion controls, allowing users to control things through body movements. So, it has been expected that this kind of technology will also be applied for the upcoming "Nintendo Switch" game console.

The crowd will know more about the full capabilities of the console and its rumored controllers on January 12, 2017, the date that Nintendo will announce the full details of the console and some of its game titles.

For now, the only information the crowd knows about the "Nintendo Switch" is that it will have a new Mario game and Breath of the Wild games on board.

Until Nintendo pulls back the curtain in its Nintendo Switch Event next year, we can only see the most detailed guesswork about the upcoming Nintendo Switch online.
