William Baldwin is known for his role as an American actor in iconic films such as "Flatiners" in 1990, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" in 2009, and even went on television as William van der Woodsen in "Gossip Girl."

But Billy Baldwin, as he is known to some, also has other ventures he is caring for aside from his many achievements and accolades in movie and television.

Project Zero is a Harvard University educational workshop that is dedicated to enhance teaching skills. In this project, Massapequa School District teachers were able to participate and Billy Baldwin sits down with them to talk about their experiences, cites Patch. Baldwin is involved with the educators because he is one of the founders of the Massapequa Community Fund. The fund helps teachers inculcate skills needed for their profession.

About fifteen Massapequa teachers participated in the event. Project Zero has given the teachers a week-long experience. It included the methods and tools that are now required in order to achieve an innovative and effective learning environment. These methods are dedicated to create independent (students) thinkers.

One of the teachers, Kim Kelly from Birch Lane Elementary School, told Baldwin that her training for the past 3 years with Project Zero helped her students' performance increase through improved achievement rates. For her, that is evidence that the methods taught are working.

Kelly and a few other teachers also commented that the experience has helped them teach other school staffers as well. Kelly says, Project Zero helped her plant seeds into other people's minds.

It is not strange for Baldwin to be involved with the school district. Baldwin, who was born in Massapequa, New York, was a graduate of the Alfred G. Berner High School. He attended Binghamton University and majored in Political Science. It is also interesting to note that during his younger years, he was also active in sports as a varsity wrestler.
