The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) specs reveal that the newest of the A-line series will be powered by the Exynos 7880 chipset. However, there have been rumors that this may not be true for the A5 will have the 7870 processor instead. Another leaked information regarding the A5 is that it now comes in four color variants, which may include blue.

There have been various reports on the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) from its specs, wi-fi and Bluetooth certifications. This is why observers believe that the phone will have an earlier release date either this Christmas or by January next year.

The A5 (2017) is powered by the Exynos 7880 chipset. It has a 5.2 inches full HD Super AMOLED display. It has a 3GB RAM and a 16GB storage that can be expanded to 25GB with a micro SD card. It features a 13MP main camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

The A5 (2017) also comes in four color variants, namely, black, gold, pink and blue. This information was leaked by notorious leaker, Roland Quandt on Twitter as reported by Phone Arena.

The color blue variant was also featured in the Note 7 and it was a huge hit. Now the blue color is now being used in the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, which is now available as pre-orders.

Meanwhile, there have been new rumors circulating that the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) may use the Exynos 7870 and no longer the much publicized 7880. The Exynos 7880 is a superior upgrade when it comes to delivering optimal performance for mid-range phones as reported in wcccftech.

For many who consider the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) specs in making purchases, the downgrade to Exynos 7870 may be disappointing. The system-on-chips (SoCs) matter because the Exynos 7880 delivers faster GPU performance as compared to the 7870.
