Actor Kristian Nairn who played “Hodor” in the Game of Thrones isn’t holding the door anymore but it’s the disk mixer. The Irish actor Kristian Nairn is set to DJ the 22nd annual Critics Choice Awards according to an exclusive revelation in Entertainment Weekly. Kristian Nairn who played “Hodor” appeared to be the unforeseen hero during a heartwarming and soul-breaking episode 6 of Game of Thrones.

Nairn's “Hodor” character was the longtime companion of Bran Stark. It can be recalled that during the heartbreaking scene, Hodor held the door and fulfilled his destiny of saving Bran and Meera’s life before being overcame by a horde of undead weights.

Kristian Nairn, as what many of the fans don't know, is actually a veteran DJ and an electronic music producer who even has a touring show dubbed as the Rave of Thrones. He will man the DJ mixer and be on the ones and twos for the Critics’ Choice Awards ceremony and after-party that will be on December 11, 2016.

The Critics’ Choice Awards is an annual ceremony which honors the best in film and television. Among the TV nominations are for Best Comedy Series, Best Animated Series, Best Reality Competition Series; Best Talk Show, Best Drama Series, Best Movie, and ultimately the Best Actor, Actresses; and Supporting Characters in the different categories.

Speaking of Game of Thrones, HBO’s sprawling fantasy is nominated for numerous honors including Best Drama Series together with Better Call Saul (AMC), Mr. Robot (USA), Stranger Things (Netflix), The Crown (Netflix), This Is Us (NBC) and Westworld (HBO).

T.J. Miller will be the host of The Critics’ Choice Awards and it would be presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association. The Critics’ Choice Awards will air live Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. ET on A&E. Entertainment Weekly is one of the content and promotional partners.
