Samsung and Qualcomm have already made it known that the next chipset, Snapdragon 835, will be embedded in some of the most powerful smartphones in 2017. While Samsung's Galaxy S8 will be launched in a few months, there are speculations claiming that the Snapdragon 835 will land on Galaxy S8.

Regardless of how, even though the tech companies did not pitch in particular details about the chipset, it seems like a document showing the specifications of the Snapdragon 835 chipset has just leaked from China. The document revealed that Qualcomm's new chipset will roll out with eight cores instead of four, with that, the Snapdragon 835 chipset will actually be an octa-core processor unlike the Snapdragon 820 or Snapdragon 821.

The Snapdragon 835 chipset will also come along with a new graphics processing unit, the Adreno 540. Moreover, the SoC is supposed to support UFS 2.1 technology, which is Universal Flash Storage next iteration, according to Sam Mobile.

Anyway, the Head of Samsung's chip-making business, Jong Shik Yoon, said that they are pleased to have the opportunity to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies in manufacturing the Snapdragon 835 using their 10nm FinFET technology. Working with Qualcomm is an important milestone for their foundry business as it signifies confidence in the leading chip process technology of Samsung.

With that, as Samsung and Qualcomm's partnership appears to be successful, it's not a surprise that the leaked document suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone will carry the new Snapdragon 835 chipset.

That being the case, the South Korean tech company is expected to release the Samsung Galaxy S8 at Barcelona's Mobile World Congress trade show in 2017. It is very likely that tech company will show off the Galaxy S8 smartphone on Feb. 26, a day before the event officially kicks off, Trusted Reviews reported.
