Samsung has launched Android 7.0 Nougat beta program for its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphone in select countries, wherein users can test Google's latest operating system before it will be released to the public. But, after the OS beta update, it has now found out that the Samsung Gear VR won't work on the devices.

It appears that after downloading Android 7.0 Nougat beta on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, it knocks off the Gear VR compatibility. With that, users of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, who have already subscribed in the Android 7.0 Nougat beta program, have no choice but to wait for the next update to access the Gear VR, according to Phandroid.

Anyway, the non-compatibility of Gear VR headsets with Android 7.0 Nougat Beta updated Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices was first reported when attempts were made to access the Oculus Store app. A pop-up showed a Network error message, and prompts the user to try again later, VR Heads reported.

Nevertheless, Android 7.0 Nougat beta comes along with some features in Grace UX that was spotted in the discontinued Galaxy Note 7. Features of the Android 7.0 Nougat are more vibrant background, always-on display, transparent folders, new notification bar, and new settings.

On the other hand, the masterminds behind the top NBA simulators across all platforms, 2K Games, released NBA 2KVR Experience, in which the game has explained well enough by its own title. Aside from Samsung Gear VR, the experience will be released for HTC Vive and PlayStation VR. The game will set a person back $14.99, Sam Mobile has learned.

Although the NBA 2KVR Experience costs almost twice the price of NBA 2K17 on Android and iOS, but considering it's a VR title, the price seems to be justified.
