It appears that “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” and “The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” are potentially not coming to backwards compatibility program of the Xbox One based on the recent XBox Live Black Friday sale site and fans are not happy about it.

While Microsoft has made games such as Call of Duty titles and Gear of War now available in Xbox One backward compatibility, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ alongside “The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” are yet playable.

According to a Game Spot report, Xbox Guro and Microsoft Major Major Nelson confirmed on Twitter that the game list was mistakenly posted. He confirmed that both listings were not meant to be released yet. This is so ultimately horrifying for fans hoping that they get a new ambiance of the games on the existing Xbox One consoles. The games mentioned are now deleted from the Xbox Live Black Friday sale site.

But fans shouldn’t lose hope as some reports said that even “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” and “The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” were ruled out for backwards compatibility for now, they will arrive sooner or later.

The tech company laready has a solid rapport with the publishers of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” and “The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion” because Activision and Bethesda already have active games that are in the catalog of Xbox One backwards compatibility. Some of which are the Call of Duty: Black Ops which is another Call of Duty title, while Doom and Doom II are already available also.

The Game Spot report adds that there are already more than 280 games in the Xbox One backwards compatibility program that are available right now. Some of which are the all-time favorite Halo: Spartan Assault, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. There are also new added games like Military Madness and Omega Five.

Although some players still asked the stretch of backward compatibility program is with the release of Xbox Scorpio, Mike Ybarra – Xbox lead engineer has said that the 4k console will also be a backward compatible with the Xbox games.
