After eight solid amazing seasons and a tons of blood spilled, “The Vampire Diaries” is set to complete its final episode – and this one should be ultimately heartbreaking.

Even though the series are still in its fourth episode in their final cut, “The Vampire Dairies” has already confirmed its season finale date.

“Damon” and “Stefan” fans should get ready to kiss goodbye to their beloved Mystic Falls characters as the sixteenth and final episode is set to air in Friday, March 10, 2017 at 8/7c according to The CW.

“Katherine Pierce” or “Elena Gilbert” to show on the season finale?

Although the network hasn’t confirmed Nina Dobrev’s original character “Elena,” a lot of anticipations coming from the fans are still out loud for the character to show in the final episode.

Even Julie Plec, the producer of “The Vampire Diaries” has also been open about her intention of bringing Nina Dobrev back for the final run. Yet nothing has still confirmed.

Nina Dobrev has played many “doppelganger” characters of Elena such as “Katherine,” “Tatia” and “Amara”. Many fans are still rooting on the possibility of Katherine’s comeback as her character didn’t seem to reveal a final end in the season five.

“The Vampire Diaries” Final Season Cut too short

Unlike the other seven seasons, the season finally is shorter. “The Vampire Diaries” season seven had closed with 22 episodes however, the season eight is trimmed down to 16 episodes. There are still no explanation about this which left all the fans stress out. After all, they would get to see less of Bonnie, Alaric, or Caroline.

“The Vampire Diaries” might leave the fans crying yet, its vacancy will be filled its spin-off, “The Originals” which will premier is Season Four a week later on March 17, 2017 according to TVGuide.

In the current episode, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) has already killed Tyler (Michael Trevino) and had also threated Stephan (Paul Wesley) and the others.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season Eight spoilers are also hinting another character might die and be killed by Damon. Better watch out for more exciting episode of the final season.
