Galaxy J3 2017 price, image and specs have been leaked one by one and here's the update of Samsung's upcoming J device.

Samsung is fond of refreshing its flagships and the Galaxy J family has been one of the series being constantly upgraded.

A recent leak spotted at Geekbench shows that the upcoming Galaxy J3 has earned FCC and Bluetooth certifications, which means that the smartphone gets green light for a launch.

The refreshed entry-level handset is said to rock 2GB of RAM and will be powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset. The device will run Android Marshmallow, GSM Arena has learned.

Samsung Galaxy J3 2017: A few improvements are expected

As for the other tech specs, there will not be many improvements to expect from Samsung. As a reminder, the 2016 edition of Galaxy J3 sports 5-inch AMOLED display with 1.5GB RAM.

Aside from the quality screen and enhanced chassis or slightly more curved edges, the next-gen should not have a huge gap performance from its older sibling.

The older Galaxy J3 packs 8MP and 5MP cameras. Judging from the Galaxy J5 2015 and 2016 editions, the optics department does not get any gain. Thus, it can be argued that there might not be any upgrade for Galaxy J3 2017 camera pairing.

According to notorious leakster Evan Blass, there will be two display variants of Galaxy J3 2017 and both will pack 2,600 mAh battery capacity. The Pro model could sport a slightly higher set of specs.

Samsung Galaxy J3 2017: Price and release date

The 2016 edition is priced at around $132. The successor likely falls under the same price or at slightly higher point. Based on a leaked press image, the midrange device is likely to be unveiled in December with the phone's availability starts from January 2017, Phone Arena reported.
