"Prison Break" will officially return next year on FOX with the complete cast members - Michael (Wentworth Miller), Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), Sarah (Sarah Wayne Callies), Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), Paul (Paul Adelstein), etc. Sadly, Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner) will not be joining the gang in the fifth season run of the series.

Many fans hope that Mahone's character will be back since many were captured with his back story. Unfortunately, the executive producer of the show told International Business Times that he cannot find a reason for Mahone's character to be reprised.

In the upcoming "Prison Break" Season 5, everyone will come to know that Michael is alive and being imprisoned in Yemen through T-Bag. Of course, Lincoln, upon knowing this, will not hesitate to execute a plan of rescuing his brother in which he cannot leave Sarah out.

One of the show's staff members recently tweeted that "Prison Break" Season 5 episode 8 will feature a scene that would surely bring both fans and writers to tears. This caused wild speculations among fans such as the death of one of the major characters in the story.

In the previous season episodes, every operation they did resulted to casualties, thus, it cannot be helped that many fans think about another character being sacrificed in this season's escape plan. The Sun also iterated that the show already hinted possible deaths in "Prison Break" Season 5, and Lincoln will most likely sacrifice his life to save his brother. On the other hand, others consider the possibility of Sarah's death in "Prison Break" Season 5, although they cannot seem to come up with plausible reason for her death.

Meanwhile, rumors suggest that "Prison Break" Season 5 will be based on the epic "The Odyssey," thus, it will tell the story of Michel's journey back to his family - similar to that of what happened to Odysseus. Furthermore, Lincoln is rumored to find his new love interest in one of the activists named, Sheba (Inbar Lavi).

In other news, new roster of characters will be joining "Prison Break" Season 5, which includes Scot Ness as Mark Feuerstein (he will be the conflict in Sarah and Michael's relationship), Rick Yune of "Fast and Furious" (an identity thief named Ja who will help in getting Michael out of prison), Augustus Prew as Whip, Amin El Gamal as Cyclops, Marina Benedict as A & W and Kunal Sharma as Sid.
