A number of tech enthusiasts are now eagerly awaiting for the next gaming system to hit the market. The console in question is Microsoft's next entry into its Xbox series of flagship, which is being dubbed as the Xbox Project Scorpio.

One of the most awaited information that gamers want to know is the potential pricing for the Xbox Project Scorpio. Nonetheless, it appears like gamers will have to save up a great deal of money before they can acquire the upcoming gaming system.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer told Spanish-language video gaming portal, Levelup.com, that gamers should expect to see a higher price point for the Xbox Project Scorpio, considering that Microsoft is planning to roll out the device as a high-end product, according to Game Spot.

Spencer said that Xbox Scorpio will be a premium gaming system, and it will cost more than Xbox One S. Spencer also stated that they have not announced the price of Xbox Scorpio, even so, Spencer wants to ensure that the investment they are putting into the Scorpio fulfills the demands of the higher-end consumer, with that, the gaming system will obviously have a higher price.

Furthermore, while it is slated that Xbox Project Scorpio would roll out to be pricey, however, it seems like the comments of the Xbox head are just to prepare tech fans for the inevitable price of the upcoming console. As of now, most gamers settled on a console with a price of $350 or cheaper, in spite of that, the console's price range is expected to change when Project Scorpio will be available, GamePur reported.

That being said, the pricing range of Xbox One S starts from $299 of the 500 gigabyte variant, and the cost goes up as a person tends to go for a higher storage variant, 1 terabyte and 2 terabyte.
