Back in 2014, Marvel announced that there's going to be a movie adaptation of "Marvel's The Inhumans," but it seems that it is not the plan anymore. Marvel announced that instead of a movie, the series is going to be released on the small screen by next year.

Marvel made this announcement along with the elaborate plan to debut the series. Apparently, three big names have collaborated to make the release of "Marvel's The Inhumans" possible, which includes IMAX, Marvel Television and Disney│ABC.

IMAX's participation on this project is a first. The first two episodes of the series is going to premiere on IMAX Theaters worldwide for at least two weeks. "Marvel's The Inhumans" series is going to explore a storyline that's unique - the adventures of Black Bolt and the royal family.

Many believed that this is a good decision as far as the franchise is concern. In fact, some of the characters from "Marvel's The Inhuman" were already introduced in "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD." Given this fact, there are possibilities of future alliances and crossover episodes

According to The Verge, it is still not clear whether "Marvel's The Inhumans" is going to take place in the same universe as the other Marvel shows. Maybe they are planning on doing something similar to what DC Comics is doing right now, where characters from "Arrow," "The Flash" and "Supergirl" cross paths.

"Marvel's The Inhumans" can actually provide the unique opportunity for the Marvel characters to cross path. So far, DC is successful in doing it and some competition from the other side of the universe - the Marvel Universe, can be refreshing.

The companies involved in the production of "Marvel The Inhumans" are hopeful to make the franchise a success. The series is set to air in September 2017, while cast and the rest of the production staff are yet to be announced.
