The behind-the-scenes of "Salem" Season 3 showed Mercy's Bird Nest and how Magistrate Hathorne plans to infiltrate it. The stars of the show were quite tight-lipped on what we can expect this season.

The video that was posted on twitter showed the very glamorous set of The Bird's Nest which is actually a brothel. Actor Jeremy Crutchley, who is playing the role of Magistrate Hathorne in "Salem" Season 3, gave the tour. The actor explained that this is the place where his character will finally meet the attractive Mercy Lewis (Elise Eberle). The cast described the set as "elaborate and erotic," where there were some gold bird cages that are big enough to fit a human.

Eberle explained quite a bit about the character that she's playing in "Salem" Season 3. She said that her character feels pretty confident this season and even plans to be known to the members of the high society. She likes that she's in control of the girls in her establishment. According to Salem Wikia, Mercy is part of the Essex Hive, and while she's a powerful witch, there are others who are more skilled than her such as Mary Sibley and Anne Hale.

The clip also showed that there's an impending partnership between Magistrate Hathorne and Mercy Lewis. Crutchley explained that for Magistrate Hathorne, his association with Mercy Lewis is purely business, but for Mercy - it's another story.

Magistrate Hathorne offers Mercy protection in exchange for a certain percentage of the profits made at The Bird's Nest. TV Line reported that the Magistrate wants at least 50 percent. Clutchey continued to tease that the partnership will eventually lead to "some interesting avenues" for Magistrate Hathorne and Mercy Lewis - which, at least for now, is still a big secret.

For Mercy, it is all about control and she tends to control the Magistrate as well. Towards the end of the clip, Mercy is holding some sort of potion that the Magistrate needs. She can even control the movement of his body up to the point where the Magistrate Hathorne is kneeling down in front of Mercy - much to her delight of course. "Salem" Season 3 airs every Wednesday night at WGN America.
