It was nearly ten years since “Half Life 2” was released and served as the last installment of “Half Life” that hyped gamers worldwide.

Fans have questioned why it's taking such a long time and whether there would be a third installment for the famous game. Would “Half Life 3” finally happen?

Since its first ever release, “Half Life 1” was a great game with decent graphics and animation. The next installation which is “Half Life 2” has featured some realistic physical interactions and Ragdolls in the gameplay.

While the game developer and publisher Valve has been silent about any upcoming installations, recent reports are spreading that the "Half-Life 3" is currently under development and the third installation is indeed happening.

'Half Life 3' on Virtual Reality

There have been speculations that ‘Half Life 3’ will support a Virtual Reality compatibility.

The game developer Valve is reportedly has been working together with the HTC in creating a Virtual Reality for “half Half 3”. Although nothing has been confirmed yet.

'Half Life 3' Gameplay Details

A Kraken Base is reportedly the setting for the upcoming "Half Life 3". The Kraken Base was supposed to be featured in the “Half Life 2” however it fell short in the final cut. So gameplayers are anticipating that most of the setting of the gameplay must probably center around the Kraken Base.

As also reported by Gameguide, "Half Life 3" may be featuring a new underwater terrain and submarine.

This is mostly to connect the plots of the storyline in the Kraken Base where in Gordon has to be saved after Doctor Helena Mossman has betrayed the research team.

'Half Life 3' Game Release

Even if there are no confirmation coming from Valve, some reports are expecting that the Half-Life’s third installment will come out in 2018.

The game developer is expected to bring out some great deals as the fans have been waiting for a decade already.
