The Missouri Tigers (25) are looking to make a big leap in the top 25 this weekend as they go into Athens, where the Georgia Bulldogs (7) will try to protect their spot among the top ten teams.

Missouri's introduction to the SEC last year was rocky at best, finishing 5-7 and suffering big losses to the likes of Alabama, Texas A&M and, of course, Georgia. Saturday will be the Tigers' chance to return the favor of trouncing their opponents on their home field.

In just its second game of its first season in the SEC, the Bulldogs went to Missouri and won 41-20. This year, Missouri is much different, with a 5-0 record and quarterback matching the play of Georgia's Heisman hopeful Aaron Murray.

Senior QB James Franklin has lead a potent Missouri offense that ranks seventh in college football in total yards and eighth in points scored. He has completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,407 yards and 13 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Comparatively, Murray has completed 65 percent of his passes for 14 touchdowns, three interceptions and a total of 1,535 yards. While not quite matching Missouri's offensive output, the Bulldogs' offense is just as potent and has seen much tougher opponents. Their only loss was a three-point squeaker on opening night to Clemson and wins include home victories against ranked teams like LSU and South Carolina.

On the other hand, Missouri has feasted on unranked opponents and will get its first big challenge of the season with Georgia. In fact, the following two Saturdays will also be a huge test for the Tigers, as they host Florida and South Carolina consecutively.

To win, Missouri will have to be efficient on offense and keep Murray and the Bulldogs' offense off the field. The Georgia QB is leading the conference with 306 passing yards per game and he has also thrown for at least three touchdowns in four consecutive games.

For Georgia, the defense will have to essentially do the same and give the Bulldogs' offense a chance to put up points on a yet-untested Missouri defense.

In what promises to be another high-powered SEC showdown, the key to victory seems to be whichever offense can control the ball best. Also, Missouri should be careful to mange a close game late.

Despite injuries sprinkled around the offense, Murray has lead the Bulldogs to late game wins two weeks in a row versus LSU and Tennessee, respectively. If Murray has proven anything, it is that he can complete passes to whoever lines up at wide receiver for Georgia.
