Fox's supernatural series "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 has officially been given a release date next year. Tom Mison is returning as the show's lead, Ichabod Crane. However, he will not be joined by his seasons 1 to 3 co-star Nicole Beharie. Here's everything you need to know about "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4.

Ichabod gets a new partner

Things will never be the same now that Abbie Mills is gone, but the show must go on and so must Ichabod. He will relocate to Washington D.C. in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 where he will meet his new partner Diana Thomas, played by Janina Gavankar.

Diana is a single mother who, like Ichabod, also lost her partner, TVLine reported. Also, she doesn't believe in the supernatural world so she initially won't get along well with Ichabod - a similar tale when Ichabod and Abbie first met.

"There is a hole that needs to be filled, whether they will admit it or not. Janina and I seem to have found something quite nice, where we don't want to fall straight into each other's arms and be partners," Mison said about working with Gavankar. "And hopefully - I haven't seen any episodes yet - but hopefully, that reads."

Ichabod will work together with Diana and a team of researchers to unravel the supernatural mysteries surrounding Washington D.C.

New characters

Kamar de los Reyes has been cast to play the recurring role of Jobe, the body guard of Jeremy Davies' Malcolm Dreyfuss. He is in charge of eliminating people who gets in the way of Malcolm's plans. According to Deadline, his character is said to have a major story arc in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4.

In addition to Gavankar and de los Reyes, new faces will join the "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 cast, including Rachel Melvin, Jerry MacKinnon, Oona Yaffe. Meanwhile, series regulars Jessica Camacho, Lance Gross and Nikki Reed are no longer returning to the series.
