The "X-Men" movie franchise is going to undergo a lot of changes. Different sources are now reporting that 20^th Century Fox is looking for a way to reboot the $4 billion movie franchise.

The performance of "X-Men: Apocalypse" is quite dismal to say the least, and with Hugh Jackman announcing that he's leaving the franchise for good next year, how can the creators of the show revived the franchise without its lead character?

A New Storyline

If there's one thing constant in the "X-Men" franchise, it's their storyline. It is typically about their struggles on how to be accepted by the society. A new storyline can trigger the interest of the fans, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the sooner the people behind "X-Men" realized that they can no longer play it safe, the better. At this point, they really need to try new things to impress moviegoers who are used to multiverse and crossovers from different superheroes.

Diversified Character

Aside from Wolverine, the other characters of the "X-Men" franchise can be easily forgotten. Of course, Dr. Charles Xavier will forever be remembered as well as Magneto, his rival. Mystic is one character that's hard to miss, probably because of her color. A more diverse cast can make the characters more relatable. ComicBook cited that there are other characters that can lead the pack such as X-23 and Daken. After all, there's a chance that Wolverine is going to kill all the "X-men" in the upcoming film "Logan."

Take a Storyline From The Comics

It is a nice idea to take some ideas in the comic version of "X-Men." The comic version of the franchise started around the 1960's and it has been rebooted a couple of times already and there's plenty of storyline to go about. Why not start on a clean slate, pick a storyline that is new and then upgrade it. It would be best to make sure that there's a flow in the story and to explore it in depth. Too many characters without a solid plot is the perfect recipe for disaster.
