After being delayed several times, the GoPro's Karma Drone has been released last Oct. 23, 2016, but not even close to a month, the company announced two days ago, Nov. 8, that it will recall the $799 drone.

The Karma Drone is the first-ever and most anticipated drone created by the action-cam company and there are approximately 2500 units sold so far.

GoPro is quick to answer following the Karma Drone recall order. Nicholas Woodman, CEO and GoPro founder said that safety is their top priority and that the shipment of the Karma Drone will resume after it has successfully addressed the issue it has discovered, Tech Times reported.

Woodman stated that they had moved quickly to recall all of the sold Karma Drone units after a power failure incident were reported by a relatively small number of Karma owners. The company said that owners will be provided with a full refund.

The company added that they are closely working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Federal Aviation to investigate the issue. There was no reported injuries or property damage in connection with the said incident.

In addition, the company has advised consumers to access the online support or contact hotlines to help them with the return. The recall is only for the drones, the company added, however, if it has been purchased with Hero Black Camera and Karma Grip, they have to return them together with the drone.

This could be the worst time for GoPro. The company is barely coping up from the disastrous third quarter when their revenue fell by 40 percent compared to last year and the Karma Drone and Hero5 is their chance to bounce back. However, with the series of events, the company may not be able to find momentum in its sales.
