Now that Microsoft has launched the Xbox One S, and Project Scorpio soon to be available, the American tech giant has decided that it's time to get rid of its original Xbox One consoles.

The tech monster has slashed a hefty amount off the Xbox One's price, which a person can now pick up from the online store with prices starting at £179.99 for the 500 gigabyte bundles, in which the price is cut down from £249.99.

For the discounted Xbox One's price, a person can get a variety of bundles, such as the Ultimate Edition pack of "Gears of War," as well as a free copy of the open world racing video game, "Forza Horizon 3," according to Trusted Reviews.

Anyway, one of the reasons why Microsoft cut off the price of the original Xbox One is that the tech company will focus on pushing the newer Xbox One S. A spokeswoman made it known that it's been an exciting year for the fans of Xbox, and this upcoming holiday is the perfect time to get their hands on the new Xbox One S, which is the top selling console in the UK.

The spokeswoman added that Xbox One S is the only console with built-in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray as well as 4K video streaming, and it includes content from partners like Netflix, Daily Star reported.

On the other hand, Director of Programming for the Microsoft gaming network Xbox Live, Larry Hryb, hit on his Twitter account to announce that "Guardian Heroes" and the first person shooter video game "Operation Flashpoint: Red River" are both playable on Xbox One backward compatibility.

In spite of that, if a person already own either of the video games, they will be able to download the games and start playing immediately, Game Spot has learned.
