CW just revealed in "Supergirl" Season 2 episode 6 promo the newest villain, Parasite, one of Superman's long time enemies. Given Parasite's ability to absorb powers, Supergirl, played by Melissa Benoist, may be in trouble once the deadly monster touches her and drains her abilities. Who will now save the young superhero?

Parasite, a major Superman villain is making a feature debut in the sixth episode titled "Changing" of "Supergirl" Season 2. The episode synopsis also reveals the debut of a guardian who will help Supergirl after Parasite drains her energy.

Parasite in the DC Comics used to be Rudy Jones, a janitor for S.T.A.R. labs. Jones discovered an alien rock, which exploded and exposed him to extreme radiation. The exposure left him looking like a bald humanoid with green skin.

The deformed Jones also feels extreme bouts of hunger, not for food but for energy. He absorbs the life force of everyone he meets just to satisfy his cravings. He eventually meets Superman and fights him.

In the course of this fight, Jones absorbs the heat energy of Superman, making him even more monstrous in size and in appearance. DC Comics depict him as having teeth like a leech. With his enormous size, Parasite's hunger is uncontrollable.

He also gained the ability to absorb the minds of his victim intact, in particular, Dr. Torval Freeman. This renders Parasite not only powerful but highly intelligent as well. Parasite also fought with Supergirl in the DC comics according to Comicvine.

Also featured in the episode is Mon-El (Chris Wood) who is planning to make a career change, an unpleasant one it seems, which prompts him to re-examine his motives. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) is struggling as she faces with a life-changing event, as reported by Coming Soon.

Watch how Supergirl will fight a deadly adversary like Parasite. "Changing" airs on the CW on Nov. 14.
