Fox announced Thursday that "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 is set to air January 6 next year. The series is expected to have a new villain and new allies. It will also have a new female lead.

Jobe (Kamar de los Reyes) is reportedly going to reprise his role in this season. There is news that his character will play a vital role to the season's story. John Noble, or Henry Parish, or Jeremy Crane will also be resurrected in this season. The new antagonist in the season will be Malcolm Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies). He is a billionaire who tries to control the Headless Horseman, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The new season's story will pick up where Abbie Mill (Nicole Beharie) was killed. Meanwhile, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) will move to Washington D.C. to defeat the demons with Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), the sister of Abbie. Crane is reportedly going to have a new leading woman named Diana (Janina Gavankar). She is the replacement for Abbie Mill (Nicole Beharie). Diana has a daughter named Molly Thomas (Oona Yaffe), who is still 10-year-old.

Jake Wells (Jerry MacKinnon) is the new demon hunters and will work as an expert on supernatural phenomenon, Den of Geek reported. He keeps the information he gets in catalogue kept in Washington. Also, the former Oxford befriended Alex Norwood (Rachel Melvin), who is an engineering genius.

Though one of the major casts is gone, fans can still enjoy the show as new characters will be joining the story. Meanwhile, Malcom Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies) is an additional character. He is a bodyguard who makes sure nothing comes in Malcolm's way.

The plot includes Crane and his hunters will join a supernatural group in the Capitol. This organization has a secret archive where they hide Wells catalogue. Meanwhile, Season 4 is still under production, filming in Atlanta.
