The co-writer of Marvel's "Doctor Strange," C. Robert Cargill, wrote a screenplay on fallen angels for an upcoming film maker.

Cargill wrote the screenplay for Nikhil  Bhagat's "As They Continue To Fall," CBR reported. The film is about an angel hunter in a city riddled with crime and corruption. Cargill's style of screenplay is obvious with the creepy but cool feel of the short film.

The short film runs six and a half minutes and was uploaded in YouTube on Oct. 19. Bhagat, who is an aspiring filmmaker, came across Cargill in Reddit. He said that the latter gave him an amazing screenplay and tried to make it look very cinematic and entertaining.

"As They Continue To Fall" portrays angels in a different way, Geek reported. The main character in the film is an aging drifter played by John Henry Whitaker. He can see these monstrous angels since he was very young. Those experiences turned him into a vengeful vigilante who hunts down these fallen angels and collects their feathers.

Before this short film, Cargill has co-written movies with director Scott Derrickson. "Sinister" and "Sinister 2" are some of the most popular movies they collaborated with. Before writing big movies, Cargill wrote for Ain't It Cool News and Spill.com.

This is a proof of concept short film that has a big potential to become a full length film. This could easily be a big break for Bhagat, cinematographer Noah Rosenthal, and visual effects artists Ben Hall and Andy Wong. Bhagat made a major career change to pursue his passion in film making. He was a graduate of political science and international studies. He used to work in Washington, DC, and decided to take up film at NYU and USC. If this gains enough attention, the right person might be encouraged to fund a full-length version of the short film. This film was shot using an Arri Alexa camera.
