Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 is expected to be launched with impressive specs and features in early 2017. The sought after Surface Pro 5 is said to compete with Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 as well as the iPad Pro 2.

The Surface Pro 5 is expected to roll out in January 2017 with a price of $899, which depends on its bundled accessories and specifications. With that, reports are springing up one after the other that Microsoft Corporation is aiming at the Cupertino based tech giant's iPad Pro 2 and MacBook Pro 2016 with its new Surface Pro 5.

As the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to go head to head with Apple's devices, the Surface pro 5 is slated to be powered by Intel's next generation Kaby Lake processors. As the American multinational corporation, Intel, had revealed that the new chips will arrive late 2016, it indicated a perfect timing for the January 2017 release of the Surface Pro 5, Mobi Picker reported.

The highly anticipated hybrid PC-tablet of Microsoft will be supported by a 16 gigabyte of RAM and powers up on Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system. It has been speculated that the Surface Pro 5 will roll out in two variants. The first variant will come along with a full 2K resolution, and the second variant, which is a high-end model, will be available with a 4K resolution, according to PC Advisor.

Furthermore, the Surface Pro 5 is predicted to be one of the most powerful machines that Microsoft has ever made, and the hybrid PC-tablet will come with a new Surface Pen, wherein, the pen can charge by itself every time it is connected to the hybrid PC.

Anyway, as Microsoft is yet to confirm Surface Pro 5's release date, tech fans can expect the device to offer great competition to the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2 and MacBook Pro 2016.
