Even with the latest release of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition," the level of anticipation for "The Elder Scrolls 6" remains unmatched. It's been a long time coming for the game's sequel, but Bethesda has yet to make an official announcement regarding its release, and have been fending off questions regarding the Skyrim game.

So is it happening or not? Here's the roundup of everything there is to know about "The Elder Scrolls 6," including the features, gameplay details, secrets, release dates and more.

State of production

It's not clear whether Bethesda is currently working on "The Elder Scrolls 6." In fact, Bethesda studio marketing vice president Peter Hines recently tweeted that the studio wasn't working on the sequel right now, but haven't closed its doors on the possibility of creating it in the near future.

DigitalSpy reported earlier that the studio wasn't in a hurry to crank out "The Elder Scrolls 6" immediately. Hines said the studio is actually doing two large projects at the moment and that fans might actually hear of these two first before "The Elder Scrolls: 6." This means it might still take long before they actually begin working on the sequel.

What to expect from 'The Elder Scrolls: 6'

Still, that hasn't stopped fans from speculating on what should appear on "The Elder Scrolls: 6." For one, the game is expected to take place in Argonia/Black Marsh, according to NowLoading. It's one of three locations left in Tamriel that hasn't been used for any Bethesda game yet.

"The Elder Scrolls: 6" might also be featuring house- and town-building. It was previously introduced in Hearthfire, a Skyrim expansion, which allows players to customize and own houses across the Skyrim universe.
