Good attitude is the ability to react positively to worst events in life. Take the case of one man who was caught having a nap during his first day of internship.

His colleagues thought that it would be funny taking his picture with them around. It was then uploaded via social media and suddenly went on viral. Various memes sprouted right after the expose, according to Daily Mail.

Instead of being offended, the man took it humorously also and even shared his own memes. On the other hand, two political science students from Colorado University or CU Boulder were hoping to gain experience from the real world and help shape up policies.

They took advantage of the CU in D.C. internship program to gain access to federal government agencies, cultural arts, and other organizations. Aside from the opportunity to work and live in Washington, D.C., they also get full academic credit for the experience.

Malin decided to do for the internship after the passing of Every Student Succeeds Act, a federal law governing the K-12 public education policy pf the country.

She got to attend meetings regarding Colorado issues. Malin toured in one high-performing charter school. She was fascinated that it deals with students of color. Seeing her purpose, she felt the urge to influence a reinforced career goal.

Dylan Rogers, with his double major in political science and psychology, joined the summer internship with Coffman in Washington. He was in charge of taking phone calls.

He has experienced losing a call from the U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx due to poor system reception. Dylan likes giving a tour for constituents in the Capitol.

Malin and Rogers are grateful to CU in D.C. for their experience, making them confident after gaining skills and valuable contacts. Interested students can apply in advance to CU in D.C. at any time for the internship program, as announced by UC.
